About The Artist

Originally from Hyderabad India, Arpita Jaiswal is a versatile artist with extensive experience in multiple mediums, including oils, watercolor, pen and ink, charcoals, collages, printmaking, and more.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, followed by a Master of Fine Arts from University of Hyderabad. In addition, she obtained a minor in interior designing from Jenson and Nicholson India Ltd and animation from Zee Institute of Creative Arts, Mumbai.

After graduation, Arpita started her career as a freelancer, working with leading interior designers of Hyderabad. She painted commercial as well as privately commissioned artworks, ranging from realistic to abstract styles and taking inspiration from countless different subjects. Through this, she has become well-versed in numerous art forms and techniques. Her paintings and murals have been displayed in famous restaurants, banks, offices, and other establishments across Hyderabad.

In 1998, Arpita opened her own art studio, where she teaches art, conducts exhibitions, and holds workshops and discussions for her students. She moved to the United Sates in 2009, relocating to different cities every few months. That pushed her to temporarily close the studio until 2015. The studio reopened in Dallas, Texas as Creative Line Studios LLC. She has since created murals for Dallas restaurants and continues to produce artwork for private homes as well as her own personal works.

Arpita says, "Each of my creations carries a piece of my soul. The viewer should be able to feel and think about what they see and develop their own personal connection to it. I wouldn't want my work to just hang as a decorative piece or match the couch or the interiors."
